Getting Started
Our Service is offered to OUCU Financial Members only. If you’re not a member, no problem! It’s easy to become a member. As a community credit union, we have many ways you can qualify for membership. You can join via the link above or we’ll be happy to assist you when you come in to drop off your tax documents.
Returning tax clients
Each year we will deliver customized tax organizers to our returning client's address on record. We are also able to e-mail these forms upon request. You may complete and print a new form following the link below.

New tax clients
We welcome new clients! We will need you to fill out all the forms in our tax organizer, and we will need a copy of your prior year's tax return. You may complete and print the form by following the link below. When dropping off your documents, you will not need an appointment. We will need to obtain copies of your identification and documentation of eligibility to claim dependents.
There is a fee for our tax service and payment for this service is expected prior to any tax returns being filed.

Appointments
Appointments are not required as we do not prepare tax returns during appointments. We offer a document drop-off service and will call, email, or text at the time the return is prepared (whichever form of communication you choose). We do offer appointments for consultation or tax planning. Tax planning appointments are limited during the busy tax season and can be requested anytime throughout the year.

Need to Give Us Documents?
While you are able to drop documents off in person, we do offer some contactless methods.
Secure Drop Box
Use our secure drop box inside the Financial Services door, located at 90 S. Shafer St. in Athens.
Secure ShareBase Folder
When sending sensitive financial information please do not email documents directly to us. You can share information with us securely by requesting a personal ShareBase folder. To request a folder please use the Zix Secure Email link below to request one from tax@oucu.org. When requesting a folder via the secure e-mail system please include your member number, name, email address and a good phone number. You may also call our office at (740) 597-2820 to request one.

At this time, we do not expect the tax deadline to be extended beyond the usual deadline, April 15, 2024. If you would like to wait until later in the year to file, you can request an extension by April 15, 2024, to extend your filing deadline to October 15, 2024. This is an extension of time to file, not an extension of time to pay tax due. If you expect to owe, we recommend that you make an estimated payment.
If you have further questions, please send us an email at tax@oucu.org or call at (740) 597-2820.
